The Vendor’s golden rules

In addition to the General Terms and Conditions of Use that you have accepted by registering, we would like to present you with the essential rules for selling on our site.

1. Define your store

Growers browsing our site appreciate knowing who the sellers are. By explaining your experience of chillies and giving your growing preferences in your store’s definition, you give them a better appreciation of your approach as a seller.

2. Log in with your Stripe account

You need to connect to your Stripe account if you want to sell your plants on our site. To do this, go to your Seller Area, then Settings, then click Payments and finally “Connect to Stripe”.
You can access it HERE

3. Write product sheets

So that growers clearly understand what you’re selling, you need to be as precise as possible in your description. The name must clearly and precisely define the species you offer. Categories must be selected, otherwise your plant will be listed in the default category.

4. Manage inventory

For each product, you can define whether or not it is in stock, and how many plants you have available for sale.

This parameter is important, because when a plant is not in stock, customers are asked to leave their e-mail address to be notified when it is available for sale again. This will let you know if the plant is in demand.

5. Exploiting attributes

In the definition of a plant for sale, you have a tab called Attributes. Using this feature, you can specify certain characteristics such as cultivation difficulty…

This information allows an efficient search for growers looking for plants with specific characteristics.

6. Limit yourself to what is reasonable

Our approach is intended for private customers only. If you sell more than 150 euros per month, your account will be blocked until the following month.

7. Free shipping privilege

Including shipping costs in the product price and offering free shipping to your country is a good habit to get into.

8. Check delivery conditions

You can define several delivery types, so check that the one you use to send an order corresponds to the one chosen by the buyer.

9. Mailing care

It’s important for the buyer, but also for the whole community, that you take care when sending your plants. It’s also a way of sharing best practices in this area. If necessary, ask the community for the best advice.

10. Tag your photos

We’re talking about enthusiasts here, but we can’t rule out someone else using your photos for their own benefit on the Internet. To avoid this inconvenience, we recommend two possible methods: either use a label with the name of your store, which you place on each photo, or use software that adds this text to your photos after the fact.
