Description
This is an extremely hot pepper developed by a grower named Ed Currie, and it’s currently the world’s hottest pepper since 2013. It is also known as the HP22B pepper. Ed created this variety of chilli plant by crossing a Pakistani Naga with a Red Habanero type from St Vincents Island in the West Indies.
It was bred in South Carolina and tested to over 2.2 million Scoville heat units (with an average of 1,641,000 SHU) by Winthrop University.
